Let me ask you a question: What season are you in?
Filipinos don’t think in term of seasons often. Because we only have two seasons: Hot and Very Hot.
But when you go to Europe and the US, they have 4 seasons: spring, summer, autumn, and winter.
And I believe the 4 seasons symbolize the 4 phases of our life journey.
Each season is beautiful. One season isn’t better than the other. Each season gives you special gifts. But you need to know how to receive all these gifts.
Spring represents youth, ages 1 to 20.
Summer represents adulthood, ages 21 to 40.
Autumn represents maturity, ages 41 to 60.
Winter represents seniority, ages 61 and onwards.
Are You Maximizing Your Season’s Blessings?
Every season requires a right response.

Operate on an Abundance Mentality
When I was a kid, I remember my old folks telling me several times that " money doesn't grow on trees".
This is a scarcity mentality.
Many people believe that there is very little money out there. That the wealthy people have cornered it all for themselves and there is very little for others.
If you believe that, then that belief will be true for you. You will have a hard time earning money because your mind will subconsciously exert effort to prove it true.
Delete those scarcity mentalities. Believe that money grow on trees !
Operate on an abundance mentality.
All the money we need for life is out there, all around us. We are actually in the middle of an ocean of blessings.
If we utilize the talents and the core gifts that God has given us, and pay the price of hard work required by success, the money we need will always be flowing into us.
Believe that money is easy to find, and the abundant world will prove it to you. And on the contrary, believe that money is hard to find, and again the world will prove it to you.
It really all depends on you, on us.
Believe that money is everywhere. Start being open to the money out there. Write down ideas how you can earn that money that is all around. No idea is too wild. Pray for your list.
The Lord will grant you abundant prosperity...The Lord will open the heavens, the storehouse of his bounty, to send rain on your land in season and to bless all the work of your hands. You will lend to many nations but will borrow from none.
---Deuteronomy 28:11-12

GRADUATE YOURSELF FROM POOR MENTALITY
Last month while travelling on a bus for a briefing on my retirement, I heard a man complaining. " We are a family of poor people. My grandparents are poor. My parents are poor. All my relatives are poor. I myself am very poor. I will probably be poor for the rest of my life."
I pity the man and other people like him. Poverty has become their family identity, it'll be very hard for them to detach themselves from this very horrible belief. This belief is the one keeping them poor, if they only knew.
On the contrary, I had a grade school classmate and neighbor who was very poor. He wears, for school, different size and color of slippers for each foot. He told me he got those slippers in a garbage can near their small hut.
But he always believed that poverty is not in his blood. And he firmly believed that his family's poverty would stop right with him.
After finishing grade school, their family moved to another province and I never heard of him since then.
About a year ago, a relative told me that my poor classmate before is now a very successful engineer-contractor. He really ended his family's poverty with him. He had always that basic belief that poverty is not in his veins.
He graduated himself from the poor mentality.
Our core beliefs are self-fulfilling prophesies that determine our future lives.
Change your attitude and your actions at the same time and you can have anything you want.

INVEST FIRST IN YOURSELF..FIND YOUR CORE GIFT/YOUR PASSION
I have read so many articles about being rich and creating an abundant life, and all are suggesting one very basic principle, that is investing in your self first.
One article says that we have to consider ourselves as a company or a business entity and ourselves as the product, we have to invest in ourselves and sell ourselves first.
You may ask yourself, what would I sell?
Every person is gifted by God with a core gift, other people call it their talent or passion. Look for your core gift and focus on it.
The great Filipino boxer Manny Pacquiao, in an interview said, " God gave me the gifts of a great stamina and a strong punch and I just focused on them and thank God I have these gifts."
Manny Pacquiao is a very real example of a successful man who knows his passion and concentrated on it, he invests in it, he sells himself as a boxer and excelled. He is still on his way to more boxing greatness. He will be fighting again on May 02, 2009 with another great fighter
Ricky Hatton of Britain.
The most important opinion you have is the one you have of yourself. And the most important conversation you'll have is the one you'll have with youself.
